THIS WEEK: SUNDAY, OCTOBER 19, 2025

Life is better when we live it together. At Gayton, we’re all about growing in faith, serving with joy, and building real community. Our mission is simple: to be disciples who make disciples of all generations.

The Glance highlights the ways we’re working together to further God’s Kingdom — and how you can be part of it.

Sundays are better together!

Start your morning at 9:00 AM with our Bridges adult Sunday school class, then join us at 10:00 AM for a joyful worship service filled with music, singing, and a message from Pastor Bryon LePere.

Kids (K–5) also enjoy their own worship time at 10 AM; During this time, infants and preschoolers are also cared for by our amazing volunteers.*

(Be sure to visit our delicious coffee bar before Bible Study!)

At 11:00 AM, we dive deeper with Bible studies for kids, youth (with brunch), and adults; the preschool/nursery is also open.*

After worship and Bible study, this is your last chance to stop by the front entrance and fill out an encouragement card for our college students. A few kind words can make a big difference as they navigate the challenges of the fall semester, and this is a beautiful way to remind them that their church family is cheering them on.

Then at 6:00 PM, students (6th–12th grade) return for Youth LifeNight — games, gym, worship, and a whole lot of fun!

*The availability of the nursery and preschool is dependent on volunteers.

The Worship Message

"At His Feet"

Mark 5:21-43

Join us as Pastor Bryon LePere teaches from Mark 5:21–43, where we witness Jesus’ compassion and power through two incredible miracles—healing a woman who reached out in faith and raising a young girl from death to life.

Wednesday, Oct. 22:

There’s something special about Wednesdays at Gayton. It’s a day set aside to slow down, gather together, and grow deeper in faith and community.

The morning begins with our Women’s Bible Study at 9:30 AM, where women of all ages come together over coffee, conversation, and Scripture. This fall, the group is diving into To Live is Christ: The Life and Ministry of Paul by Beth Moore. It’s a time to be encouraged, challenged, and reminded of the power of God’s Word in everyday life.

As the afternoon rolls around, our church family reconnects online for the “Find Your People” Zoom study at 5 PM. In a world that’s more connected than ever but often lonelier than we’d like to admit, this study is all about building meaningful, Christ-centered relationships. Whether you’re tuning in live or catching the recording later, it’s a chance to be reminded that we were created for community — and we’re better together. On Sunday mornings at 9:30 AM, we gather in the Café to pray for one another and what God is doing through this journey.

The evening continues at 6 PM with Adult Bible Study upstairs in the Pumphouse Café. This simple, heartfelt gathering explores the many names of God, helping us understand more of His character, power, and love. Doors open at 5:30 PM for anyone who’d like to bring dinner and enjoy some extra fellowship before the study begins.

And finally, the night wraps up with a vibrant gathering of our next generation of leaders: Young Adults LifeNight from 7PM - 8:30 PM in the Great Room/Fireplace area upstairs. This is a time for young adults to build friendships, dive into God’s Word, and grow together in faith. It’s relaxed, authentic, and full of life — a safe space to ask questions, laugh, worship, and be encouraged.

Each part of Wednesday carries its own unique rhythm, but together they paint a bigger picture: a church family learning, growing, and walking with Jesus side by side.

Sunday, Oct. 26: Young adult worship night

6:30 PM - 8:30 PM: Go Beyond Young Adult Worship Night (Ages 18-30)

  • 6:30 PM - 7 PM: Light Refreshments & Fellowship
  • 7 PM - 8:30 PM: Worship (Worship Center - Upstairs)

Christian Recording Artist and Worship Pastor Mark Clarke will lead the service (based on Philippians 3:13-14: “forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”). Please feel free to share with your friends, family and community!
